The Lucky Penny Studio located in downtown Rochester, Michigan is perfect for photography sessions, content creation, podcast recording, branding photography, videography, workshops, meetings, classes and other creative pursuits, our versatile space can be customized to fit your vision.

The Lucky Penny Studio is an intimate and versatile 500 square foot natural light studio. Three large west facing windows fill the space with gorgeous natural lightlight, while warm wood floors, white walls and a wallpaper feature wall provide a beautiful canvas for a wide variety of photography and content creation projects. The studio is intentionally designed to be flexible, allowing renters to create a variety of looks and setups. There is a studio light onsite that can be brought out for any session, and a backdrop stand with both standard-width and full-width (9ft) paper rolls is available for you to setup and use at no additional cost. We have a changing area for clients and models and all furniture in the studio is movable to allow for easy setup and versatility.

The Lucky Penny Studio is located in an upstairs suite in historic downtown Rochester, Michigan. Please note that the building does not have an elevator and requires guests to use the stairs. Parking is conveniently located throughout Rochester, including metered street parking, public lots and nearby parking structures. Parking is always free on Sundays. The studio includes a changing area and a shared restroom is located just outside the suite.

Because The Lucky Penny Studio is rented by the hour, timely arrivals and departures are important. Your booking includes access to the studio only during your reserved time. Prior to your session you will receive a unique access code for the studio door. This code will become active at the start of your reservation and expire when your booking ends. If you need additional time, we are happy to accommodate whenever possible for an additional charge, just text or call 586-556-5733 to see if anyone is booked after you. Unauthorized use of the studio beyond your reserved time will result in additional charges. We ask that you please be mindful of others. This includes respecting our wonderful neighbors and the photographers that are using the space after you. Please leave enough time within your rental to tidy up after yourself. We often have back to back renters and while we clean the studio at night, we rely on each renter to clean up before they leave the studio. Everyone deserves to walk into a clean and organized space. If anything gets broken or needs repairing, please let us know so it can be taken care of! Our space is not soundproof. You're allowed to hang items up, but please use painters tape to avoid damage to the walls. You can also utilize your own Command brand hooks (not provided) but please remove gently and carefully. Renters are responsible for damage to walls, paint, furnishings and studio equipment. Glitter, alcohol, smoking, vaping, open flames and pets are NOT permitted in the studio. Bookings are non-refundable. Reservations may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled booking time and must be used within 30 days of the original reservation date. Rescheduling is subject to studio availability.
